Desde hace tiempo hemos estado trabajando en la creación de un sello dedicado a apoyar a esos artistas emergentes que cuentan con el talento suficiente para triunfar pero que no gozan de la exposición que merecen. Así nació RIP, un espacio que, más que una disquera, es un punto de reunión para sonidos como el rap y el reggaetón de alta calidad hechos en México. Creemos fielmente en la música manufacturada en nuestro país y esta es nuestra forma de apoyarla.  // For a while now we were working in the creation of a music label dedicated to support those new talented artists that don’t have the attention they deserve. That’s why RIP was created. It isn’t just a label but a meeting point for good sounds like rap and reggaeton from Mexico. We strongly believe in the music that is made in our country and this is our way to support it.  

Los Xxxulos

La noche del pasado 12 de Febrero nos unimos con Bass Rats para conmemorar el nacimiento de RIP y, al mismo tiempo, inaugurar las Bass Rats Nights, una serie de celebraciones nocturnas de parte del crew y quienes lo conforman. Fue una noche llena de música, de reggaetón y de baile caliente que solo aquellos que fueron testigos podrán entender. Con un line-up de lujo conformado por El Catorce, Moodkillah y el legendario Dj Sueño en las tornamesas y las presentaciones oficiales de T.Y., Jordy Melody y Los Xxxulos como parte del sello de RIP, la noche transcurrió entre letras de seducción y melodías de alta temperatura. Una presentación impecable para lo mejor del reggaetón nacional que se escuchará. // The night of the February 12th we joined with the crew of Bass Rats to celebrate the born of the RIP label and to start the “Bass Rats Nights”, a series of parties from the crew all over the city. It was a great night, full of music, reggaeton and hot dance that only the people who were there could understand. The line-up was insane, from the great music of producers like El Catorce, Moodkillah or Dj Sueño to the official RIP performances of T.Y., Jordy Melody and Los Xxxulos. That night went through lyrics of seduction and hot songs to hear and dance; it definitely was a perfect performance from the best reggaeton of the city.

Jordy Melody

Todo comenzó con El Cartorce comenzando a abrir la pista del Salón Bolivar con una clara manifestación de sus virtudes como productor. Entre beats a veces complejos y a veces amigables comenzaba a vislumbrar una noche memorable para los que estuvieron ahí. Y eso fue lo que sucedió. Cuando Moodkillah subió al escenario le brindó al público un set lleno de reggaetón que iba desde hits clásicos como Rompe o Gasolina hasta fenómenos contemporáneos del género como La Mafia Del Amor y Kiid Favelas. Era el inicio de una gran noche, el desfile de RIP apenas iba a comenzar. // It all started with El Catorce opening the dancefloor of Salon Bolivar with a great performance of its virtues as a producer. He played complex beats bur also friendly ones that started to predict an amazing night ahead of everyone in the party. And that was what happened. When Moodkillah took the stage it was glorious, his set was full of great reggaeton for the fans, everything from classics like Rompe or Gasolina to new future versions of the genre like La Mafia Del Amor and Kiid Favelas. The night was just starting and the RIP parade was about to start.

Bass Rats & Rosa Pistola

Y ese desfile daba inicio con Jordy Melody en el micrófono y Dj Rosa Pistola en las máquinas, una actuación que fue breve pero concisa y que sirvió como la introducción perfecta a Los Xxxulo$, quienes fueron una de las mejores cosas de la noche. Con una sincronía impecable, el trío presentó las canciones de su catálogo hasta el día de hoy y dieron cuenta de que se trata de uno de los actos más emocionantes en el género y una de las cartas fuertes del sello. Era la mitad de la fiesta y todavía faltaba lo mejor. // It started when Jordy Melody took the microphone and Dj Rosa Pistola took the machines, it was a short performance but full of good things to hear and it was the perfect introduction for Los Xxxulos who were one of the best things that night on the stage. They sang in a perfect synchrony each time they performed a song and all the people noticed they are one of the most exciting names of reggaeton nowadays. It was the half of the party and the best of the night was coming.

DJ Sueño

Poco después el escenario fue tomado por Tony Money y Young Miky quienes, con el rey midas BrunOG en la producción, presentaron su flamante primer Ep con RIP de una manera tan precisa que la gente ahí presente no podía hacer otra cosa sino comulgar con su palabra. El reggaetón nacional está a la altura de cualquier otro en el mundo y escuchar canciones como Tu Mirada, Dulce Tentación o Tortúrame es una clara demostración de ello. T.Y. dejó de ser una promesa para convertirse en toda una realidad y esa noche en el Salón Bolivar fue el momento perfecto para demostrarlo. // Then the stage were taken by Tony Money, Young Miky and ‘golden boy’ BrunOG for the performance of the first Ep as T.Y. Mexican reggaeton is as good as the one in any other country of the world and listening to songs like Tu Mirada, Dulce Tentación or Tortúrame is the perfect way to prove it. T.Y. guys are no longer a Mexican promise for the genre but a whole reality to it. That night in Salon Bolivar was the best way for all of us to notice.

Moodkillah

Todo terminó con la presentación de Dj Sueño, uno de los productores legendarios y más queridos del gremio reggaetonero de la ciudad. Fue un set lleno de reggaetón de la vieja escuela y de hits contemporáneos, un viaje que fue desde Plan B hasta J Balvin y de Fuego hasta Drake y Kanye West. El perreo duró hasta la madrugada y el público salió de ahí sudando a pesar del clima. Fue una noche digna del recuerdo para todos y la mejor manera de presentar un sello como el de RIP. Fue el inicio de todo, los tiempos que vendrán se van a poner mejor.// It all ended with the performance of Dj Sueño, one of the most legendary producers of Mexico City and also one of the loved ones. It was full of old school perreo and songs that are radio hits nowadays. It was a trip from Plan B to J Balvin to Fuego, Drake and Kanye West; Sueño has a good perception of the genre and the party in it and it was a cool demonstration of it. Perreo ended up almost dawning and the people went out Salon Bolivar sweating despite the cold weather outside. It all was a night to remember for all the people who were there and it was also the best way to introduce RIP label to all of them. It was just the beginning, the future of the label and its artists will be brighter for now on.
