It’s hard teaching a man what a woman feels in the street. // Es dificil enseñar a un hombre a saber lo que se siente una mujer en la calle.

“No. Put your arms down.” There was something too decisive about the way the model was shielding his face from the woman’s taunts. “No, all the way down.” The thing is, the boys were acting like you could defend yourself from street harassment. It’s not true – if a woman took the time to do that she’d never get anywhere. Much easier, I find, to deaden your eyes and stare directly in front of you. I realized I was shouting at everyone, and I took a deep breathe. // “No, Baja tus brazos.” Había also demasiado decisive en la manera en que el módelo estaba defendiendo su cara hacía los piropos de las mujeres. “No, bajalos completamente.” Neta, los chicos estaban pretendiendo que podían defenderles del acoso callejero.
