En este capitulo, ella nos habla sobre el futuro del género y sobre el placer de perrear con sus amigas. In this series, Rosa Pistola talks with the queens of reggaeton about what it’s like to be inside the music. We want to go to the beach with MC Peligro of Nayarit, Mexico. In her chapter, Peligro tells us about the future of her musical genre and the pleasure of perrear with friends. 

¿Qué te inspira? What inspires you?

Me inspira la playa, los cuerpos desnudos y bronceados, surfear, fumar marihuana, el estilo de vida surf, el agua de coco y andar sin zapatos. The beach inspires me, tan naked bodies, surfing, smoking marijuana, the surfing lifestyle, coconut water, walking without shoes. 

 

¿De que se tratan tus letras? What are your lyrics about?

Algunas hablan de temas sensuales, de relaciones en pareja, de amor y desamor … otras hablan de divertirse en la vida y pasarla bien. Some talk about sensual topics, about relationships, about falling in love and falling out of love … others talk about enjoying life and having a good time. 

 

¿Qué le dices a la gente que cree que el reggaeton es ofensivo para las mujeres? What do you say to people that think that reggaeton is offensive to women?

No todas las personas tienen que comprender ni disfrutar este género. Me parece cómica la superioridad intelectual de algunos al pensar que son más listillos por no oír este tipo de música. Me gustan las personas que se saben divertirse y tomarse las cosas de una forma menos seria. Si una canción dice: Que rico tu culo mamita rica, puede ser una ofensa o el halago más hot, dependiendo que traes en la cabeza. Definitivamente no me siento responsable por la interpretación que la gente decida darle al mensaje de mis canciones, pero que chido es si puedo hacer que bailen y se diviertan. Not everybody has to understand or enjoy this genre. It’s funny to me, that intellectual superiority some people have, thinking they’re smarter because they don’t listen to this type of music. I like people who know how to have fun and take things in the least serious ways. If a song says: Que rico tu culo mamita rica, that could be offensive or it could come across as hot, depending on what you have in mind. I definitely don’t feel responsible for the interpretation people decide to give to the message of my songs, but it’s cool that I can make them dance and have fun. 

 

 

¿Qué es lo mejor de ser mujer en el reggaeton? What’s the best part about being a woman in reggaeton?

Es increíble! Me gusta, siento que tengo un falo invisible con el que los puedo penetrar a todos a través de mi música, aventarles ritmos cadenciosos que les provocan bailar. It’s incredible! I like it, I feel like I have an invisible phallus with which I can penetrate everybody through my music, I can blow them away with pulsing rhythms that make them dance. 

 

¿Te gusta perrear? ¿Perreas con otras personas que no sean tu pareja? Do you like to dance el perreo? Do you do the perreo with people who aren’t your partner?

Es lo que hago con mis amigas cada fin de semana, vamos a bailar cumbia y reggaeton a la playa sin zapatos. A veces ni siquiera queremos hablar con chicos, solo perrear hasta el suelo, destrozarnos las rodillas. También es increíble perrear en pareja, sobre todo haciendo el amor. De hecho ya estoy inventando el perreo tántrico. It’s what I do with my girlfriends every weekend, we go and dance cumbia and reggaeton on the beach, barefoot. Sometimes we don’t even want to talk to boys, just perreo to the ground, destroying our knees. It’s also increible to perreo in pairs, more than anything when you’re making love. In fact, I’m inventing the tantric perreo. 

 

 

¿Qué opinas sobre la prohibición de reggaeton en algunos paises? Es impresionante que ocurrió en Cuba, y han habido momentos en que ciertos grupos han logrado prohibirlo en Colombia, Guatemala, y más lugares. What do you think about the reggaeton prohibition in some countries? It’s crazy what happened in Cuba, and there have been moments in which certain groups have fought to prohibit it in Colombia, Guatemala, and other places. 

Censurar es castrar. La música es una herramienta bien poderosa para hacer a las personas vibrar, independientemente del mensaje. Hay música que solo esta diseñada para ser divertida y así es MC Peligro. Censure is castration. Music is a really powerful tool to make people vibrate, independent of any message. There is music designed to be fun and that’s what MC Peligro is. 

 

¿Qué es el futuro de reggaeton? What is the future of reggaeton?

Mis poderes psíquicos me dicen que el reggaeton controlara el mundo por los próximos años, se esparcirá lentamente como una plaga en las naciones y todos serán discípulos del perreo. El perreo es el nuevo. Pare de sufrir CONVIERTANSE AL MEXBOW!!!!!!! My psychic powers tell me that reggaeton will control the world in the next few years, it will spread slowly like a plague among the nations and everyone will be disciples of the perreo. The perreo is the new. Stop suffering CONVERT TO THE MEXBOW!!!!!!!
